Wishlist:
* More configurability on the client side:
It is not even possible to set project shares or individual GPU preferences in the boinc client.
* Better packaging of the api library:
Linking to boinc api should be as easy as linking to ZLib.
* Better isolation of boinc apps from boinc client and the rest of system: cgroups on Linux.
* Automatic compiling of the apps on the target system.

* Relax the division of the problem space into workunits:
Some (or most?) problems cant be spit into uniform workunits. If workunit can be created on demand from internal problem-state, then there is no point of storing such in the database.
* allow application to detect capabilities of harware and consult the app when formulating request for work.

* multi-server confuguration: larger projects would benefit from horizontal scaling and client-side load balancing.
