Messages of type "i am leaving this project" are not welcome. They add nothing to the discussion, and are discouraging. If you want to leave, the do so.
Yes, my time is better spent actually doing the science and making sure that this does not happen again rather than dealing with amount of credit that you can rack up in a day.

I think that what I done, is the most I can do. The lost or aborted results and credits are lost.
Still, it was less than 22 hours worth of data. What if it was three days? I think my time will be better spent on getting those incremental xtradb backups to work, which would allow faster backup period (perhaps twice a day). And loading more tasks from the new search interval.
If somebody really wants their credits back, go ahead and make a program that turns the xml stat files (diffs!) into sql update statements.
The project will be operating normally from now. Hit the update button in your manager, abort ghost tasks if any.

Glad to see the project website back up and running. Well done to Tomas for all his efforts.

Hopefully a new backup policy can be implemented so that *IF* a future failure occurs then less data will be lost.

But computers are funny beasts and can fail at the worst times...but in the end it is the data that is most important rather than a few lost credits (which I understand does suck, but no point crying over spilt milk...just crunch a few more tasks and you'll make up the loss soon enough ;-) )..

Somewhere around 20.02.2020 another database crash occurred. This time we did not loose any data (all was backed up). After a disk swap, most of the functionality has been restored. I am still slowly working on restoring the science result database and work generator.
