I switched from compiled MYSQLD database server to MariaDB server during the recent crash. Unfortunately, the version of xtrabackup I have installed is incompatible with MariaDB. There is mariabackup tool. Until I transition to mariabackup, the backups are not working. Hope the SSD survives.

It does not appear to work yet. But I have done a manual full backup.
