I promise the project will resume sending spt work at end of June 2021.

Happy Spring! Today is the birthday of Jaroslav Hašek [|Hashek|].

Updates:

I finished the semester exams, with actually my personal records in grades.

The new mini computer arrived already and I loaded it with a version of Manjaro (mainline 5.12.1). It is awesome that it supports NVMe (250GB), runs hot to the touch but only up to 60C.
So now I have three mini's and a tower. The the Sinvoip abomination will be retired but the original Pi B+ will probably continue running and be used for remote control, backup and testing. I am debating whether to reinstall a debian-based os, because idk how manjaro behaves, but Archlinux users are expected to read mailing list and update like weekly, and if you dont, updates may break. Hopefully manjaro is diffrent.

The forums are for a while now hosted on a web hosting provider, which had a great discount. I'd like to keep it that way, but the boinc scheduler can't run there, and it needs access to the same database tables as boinc user pages use, so... But there is also a medical sort of web app for a client that really should not be hosted in cloud, so getting that off locally is a priority and might as well move the forums to keep it simple.

You guessed it, but I am going to push the re-launch ten days later. Because it's just not realistic. Maybe sooner idk.

On the other hand I have been designing and a bit coding an BOINC-related project that I am super excited about announcing on this forum soon.

Updated:

All of the services that should be, are mostly running. I spent extra effort to set up automation of update tasks and more lubricated development environment. Tomorrow we could try sending few first tasks and then resume prime tuples sub-project.
A big motivation loss was that OEIS does not accept any more sequences to prime tuples, however, I did not realize, extensions to existing sequences are still accepted.

OEIS also does not accept extensions to existing sequences.
On May 30, 2021, I added a meaningful result to the OEIS.
See
https://boinc.multi-pool.info/latinsquares/forum_thread.php?id=138&postid=2452

The result has not been approved for almost a month. There are no editors' comments.

For me, OEIS is no longer a motivation.
I left the OEIS.

In the OEIS sequence
https://oeis.org/A341585
it is claimed that these DLS have one CF.
I doubt it.
I would like to receive confirmation.

Can you run this task on a project?

I am afraid, I can't do order 25. If I remember correctly, order 17 worked barely, and 25 is so much harder.

On the other hand, today's test was successful, do not mind the disabled transitioner.

Edit: thank you for the message, Natalia :)

Our TOTAL PROJECT credit appears to have went to ZERO and back to the old values but our HOST CREDITS are still ZERO.

Our TOTAL PROJECT credit appears to have went to ZERO and back to the old values but our HOST CREDITS are still ZERO.

Looking today at my account I see that all my current hosts are zero credit and no sign of any old host info. Appears they were erased at some point before the project server was restarted.

Hello,

Maybe I'm right in this thread. Is the project currently sending new work?
I don't receive any tasks at all, no matter what of my machines (Win10, Linux, with or without VirtualBox, with AMD or Intel CPU, with Nvidia or ATI GPU).
In the log it just says "No tasks sent" all the time.

In the boinc statistics I can see there are teams with current results, so they seem to get work.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Check and update your Preferences for the project T.Brada Experimental Grid on ALL venues (Primary, Home, Work, School) to make sure are set accept work from ALL SUB PROJECTS. Save changes and then do a Project Update on each COMPUTER, and you might get some tasks (see below*).

Right now the Server Status Page shows only work available from the Symmetric Prime Tuple sub-project with currently only 17 tasks ready to send.
Task data as of 5 Dec 2021, 17:43:16 UTC

So it probably won't have work when you try.

Ok thanks for the reply. Too sad that there is no work available.
Is grid computing then needed at all if there isn't even work available for a single machine?
That's a bit weird.

This project issues tasks in portions.
Unfortunately, this is so.
There are a lot of tasks in the project.
When the current portion has been fully counted, the next portion will be dispensed.

Tomáš Brada
I am very sorry for your silence :(

Michael Goetz
we discussed with you the possibility of starting a project on tuples in PrimeGrid.
Since tuples are no longer calculated in this project, I propose to return to our discussion.
