Thank you for reporting Zombie!
We support armv7l-unknown-linux-gnueabihf architecture.
Do you think it should be changed to arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf? I do not think the app would work on armv6.

I don't know what it should be. I can only tell you what my raspberry pis are asking for, but not getting any work.

Raspberry Pi 64 bit (aarch64): aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu
Raspberry Pi 32 bit (armv7l): arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf

Edit: Ah! I see what you are saying. I need to add an additional, different platform string to my cc_config.xml. That worked. Thanks!

I have several RP4s attached to this project. They are asking for work, but aren't getting any. According to the server status page, there is plenty of work available for the metric Prime Tuples sub-project. There is also an app for linux on ARM. So I am not sure what the problem is. The event log does not provide any details.

T.Brada Experiment Grid	7/19/2020 6:48:56 AM	Requesting new tasks for CPU
T.Brada Experiment Grid	7/19/2020 6:48:56 AM	[sched_op] CPU work request: 2169.45 seconds; 3.33 devices
T.Brada Experiment Grid	7/19/2020 6:48:58 AM	Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
T.Brada Experiment Grid	7/19/2020 6:48:58 AM	[sched_op] Server version 717
T.Brada Experiment Grid	7/19/2020 6:48:58 AM	No tasks sent
T.Brada Experiment Grid	7/19/2020 6:48:58 AM	No tasks are available for Lua Alfa
T.Brada Experiment Grid	7/19/2020 6:48:58 AM	No tasks are available for Symmetric Prime Tuples

For what it is worth:
Four RP4s are running 64bit (aarch64) Raspberry Pi OS, and the cc_config.xml for BOINC includes the "<alt_platform>arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf</alt_platform>" to allow work for 32bit apps. (They are able to get 32bit work from other projects that suppler raspberry pi, no problem)
One RP4 is running the normal 32bit (armv7l) Raspberry Pi OS.

None of them are able to get work.

Sorry for the bother. The problem was with a different project completely. I mistakenly posted it here.

I tried restarting the client. I tried rebooting the machine. Now what?

Um, what? Just send out the next batch of work, and it'll get done. No problem. Less drama please.

Now, please, zombie67, you returned two error tasks: 23764895ii and padls3_23764895ai_0. It looks like this task restarted 4 times (wasting cpu) completed successfully, but failed to upload?? Can you check what happened?

I wish I could help. But the computer was just sitting there crunching as far as I can tell. I did reboot it once to install updates. Maybe that had something to do with the errors?

I built first version of padls3. This is for x86_64 Linux and finally also statically linked. I sent a first test row that I have a know-good result already. In order to test reliability on as many computers, first row has very high quorum. This is intentional. Real tasks will have different parameters. Eventually, windows and armv7l app will be built.

Any chance for a MacOS app?

I use the "Use a Globally Recognized Avatar provided by Gravatar.com" option. So I am not uploading anything.

Is it good idea to delete and re-assign credit retroactively?

no it's not a good idea

Agreed. I recommend picking a method, and implement it going forward.

Also, this is why a one-size-fits-all credit methodology just can't work. Different projects use different computing resources, to differing degrees. Creditnew was supposed to fix that, but failed.

I think the default BOINC server implementation uses "credit new" methodology, which is turns out to be nothing more than a fancy random number generator. Credits awarded appear to be irrational.

I think the choices are to live with it as-is, or assign some sort of fixed credits.

I had to add the following to my cc_config.xml, because it was trying to report too many tasks at once:

<cc_config>
	<options>
		<max_tasks_reported>50</max_tasks_reported>
	</options>
</cc_config>

It sounds like the server side has been fixed, and I can remove this limitation now?
