I have to agree with Vaughan above.

Folding@Home can run on the same system as BOINC, but it is not simple. Folding is a lot more time dependent, where as BOINC tends to be more relaxed in that respect. I do not run Folding@Home anymore. Rosetta@Home is working on COV-19 at the moment.

You are quite right, I was not looking in the right place. It is clearly not a project for me so will drop it when the already downloaded tasks are complete.

I run BOINC on my machines to support scientists with compute intensive tasks. I will not run storage, (etc.) jobs. You must allow people to select what jobs they are running, or people like me will simply drop you.
